Had a power surge. Current light doesn’t show continuity. Would this cause the microwave to not work at all? The main fuse shows continuity. Reading is 0.
For model number FGMO205KFB
Hello Walter, Thank you for the question. The Light would not cause the appliance not to work. The Power Surge could have caused the Control Board to burn out and needs to be replaced. We hope this helps!
How do I change the light bulb for the microwave? Do I need to remove the whole unit from the wall?
For model number FGMC2765PFG
Hi Jim, thank you for reaching out. You do not need to remove the oven from the wall. Turn the power off at the main source or unplug the appliance. Remove the oven interior light shield by turning a quarter turn counterclockwise. Replace it with a new compatible bulb, part number PS11700398. Replace the bulb glass shield back. We hope this helps.
