My dishwasher is not that old. In fact it has not been hooked for about a year. Today i hooked it up.It turns on but does not allow any water in the washer. There is a little clear plastic water reservoir does not have any water in it.When washer is on the timer is set it sets there like it is waiting for a command. Yes water is turned on. So what do you think is the wrong with it?Is it worth fixing? Thanks mike

I have a Samsung dishwasher dw80h9930us
Having an erro code 5e, turned it in and it sounds like is working but water is not coming in. Do you think is the water inlet valve?I checked the filter the drain hose and the water intake
Hi Oscar,
Thank you for your question. The 5E error code that is displayed on your dishwasher is a water drain error. Either the drain pump or the drain hose is clogged with debris and you will need to inspect them and clean them if there is debris in them. If you have an air gap installed on the top of the sink, check the clean out trap in the air gap first. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

I am getting a 4e code and i am still getting water supply to the inlet valve. Could the sensor be bad or clogged? Or am i dealing with another part?
For model number DW80H9930US
Hi Joseph, thank you for your question. The 4e error code indicates that not enough water is getting inside of your appliance. The parts that cause this issue are the water inlet valve, a kinked/clogged inlet hose, or your flow meter. This problem can also be caused if the supply of water from your home is not enough. Good luck with your repair.

My dishwasher is over filling and pouring out of the front. Even if unplugged water continues to enter the washer. Would this be the control valve sticking open?
For model number DW80J7550US
Hi Rich, thank you for getting in touch. Yes, if your dishwasher is overfilling and water continues to enter even when it's unplugged, it is likely that the water inlet valve, part number PS10061335, is stuck open. A malfunctioning water inlet valve can cause the machine to continuously fill with water and overflow. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
