microwave would not heat up
I removed the microwave unit (built-in) from the housing above the built-in oven with just two screws and unplugging it. I then removed the screws from the top and sides of the microwave access panels to allow access to the magnetron. I then removed the electrical connections from the magnetron, which is very simple and then the screws which held the magnetron in place. Replacement of the new part was just the reverse of removing the other one. Cost to do this by a technician would have been somewhere in the neighborhood of $65.00 for coming to the house, and $75.00 per hour rounded to probably 2 hours to do it. So, doing this yourself is satisfying not only in knowing you did the job, but the $200.00 plus dollars you saved as well.

Noise and no Heat on Microwave oven.
First, I waste $65 by calling some "REPAIR" service. They showed at home and charge me that just to tell me
Second, I researched on the web and ordered a part, which was not the issue. I waste abnother $72
Third, I found Part-Select and got the right answer: the Diode was the problem. Ordered the part form Part-Select and it FIxed it !!!

Note: I did not buy a new microwave because this one is mounted on the wall and it will cost me +$800 just the lowest price.

replace magnator
Had no instructions to start. Four screws and in wall microwave can be and must be removed and unplugged. Around 12 screws must be removed to take off top and side surrounding sheet metal. Part is clearly visible and takes four nuts to remove. Plastic piece nest to it must be loosened to get it out. Reverse process and plug part in at three places and screw siding back on. Just takes time and two hands to remove and carry to counter or one strong man. Next time will be faster but taking your time was 1 and half hours complete and probably saved 200 in labor.
