The microwave has a burning smell and sounds like it’s working harder. The vent fan and light for the stove work fine. I haven’t let the microwave run for more than 2 seconds since i detected the smell so i am not sure if it’s heating or not. Any thoughts? Thanks, jocko

Hello, my vent grill is broken, I have changed the filter (grease filter not charcoal) but it barely last, it drips this sticky orange grease even inside my microwave sometimes. Is this repairable at all? Or am I going to need to replace the whole microwave? I had this microwaved installed since my apartment was built which was 13 years ago.

Replaced the intake grille. The grille should be removed prior to cleaning. The entire part is plastic and easily broken so that the two tabs for the mounting screws are shattered and will not hold the part in place. If one attempts to clean the grille using only a moderate amount of pressure with a cloth the fragile plastic will break
