Food freezing in the refrigerator. Stays right at 20 degrees. Controls are set at the lowest setting. Door seals are fine. Refrigerator only 5 years old. Compressor and cooling fan seem to be cycling normal.

Hello Mike, Thank you for the question. When the coils on your fridge are dirty or dusty, then the compressor needs to work harder and longer to keep the freezer temperature at freezing temperature and can cause the Fresh Food Section temperature to be lower and freeze food. A cleaning brush for cleaning coils is another option PartSelect Number PS3412252. We hope this helps. We hope this helps!

In response to your answer, i failed to inform you that the first thing i checked was the coils. They were not that dirty. I cleaned them anyway. The compressor seems to be cycling normal. This is crazy. I’m 60 years old. I’ve seen refrigerators that lasted thirty years or more in a hot garage and never maintained. Any suggestions? Thanks.

There are rust spots on the stainless steel door. How can that be and how can it befixed?
For model number WRT318FZDM02
Hello Philip and thanks for writing.
If a sharp object hits the door it can cause rust spots, you can replace the door if still available. It seems the door has been discontinued for your model and is no longer available. We have no known replacement information in our system. We recommend you contact the manufacturer of the part to see if they have recently released a new substitute.
We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime.

When the compressor is running it's making a chugging noise and struggling to keep up sounds like it needs some service.
For model number WRT318FZDM02
Hello Jeffrey, thank you for your question. We do not provide service but have some ideas of what the issue could be. We would recommend testing the compressor capacitor PartSelect Number: PS11757023 and PartSelect Number: PS12070730 Start device, as well as the condenser fan at the back. Check for alot of dust of debris on the coils and clean if necessary. I hope this helps.

My fridge is not cooling properly and making a loud humming noise what could cause this?
For model number WRT318FZDM02
Hello Bryan, Thank you for the question. We suggest checking the Evaporator Fan Motor. It is common for the fan motor to humm or make noise when not running properly. It can not circulate the air into the Fresh Food section and keep it cool. We hope this helps!

My refrigerator stopped cooling and the freezer section stopped freezing
I knew the chances of all the freon leaking out was unlikely so I looked at the wiring to the compressor and there was a capacitor and a starter/overload so i figured I would start there. I went on line and found the parts at this site and they were less than the minimum service call charge for a service tech so I figured what the heck le

t's give her a shot so I did give it a shot. I ordered the parts and they were there in less time than a service tech could come out and i installed the parts and guess what for 90.00 in parts and 15 minutes in time I repaired my refrigerator. Thanks guys, It took less time to order the parts than it did to make the repair so thanks, your website rocks and is very well designed so my hat is off to you guys!

Evaporator Fan failure
The reason I repaired it myself was because the repairman that diagnosed the problem.didn't come back in two weeks. The evaporator fan sits behind a vented wall in the freezer and directs cold air into freezer and refrigerator.I removed the ice make assembly first and then the freezer wall held in place by two sheet metal nuts. Then remov

Lights inside refrigerator not working
I used a flat-head screwdriver to pop out the old light rocker switch. Then, I unplugged the wires, plugged them into the new light rocker switch, and then popped the new switch into the hole. That's it! Lights began working again.
