Washer stops and gives sud in screen

Hello Steve, thank you for writing. The "SUD" error code is indicating that there are too many suds for the washer to remove. This is usually caused by using too much laundry detergent or a non high-efficiency detergent. Try running the machine through a Rinse/Spin cold water cycle then a Normal cycle without adding any additional detergent. I hope this helps!

Is there a drain filter that needs cleaning and if so how? Do you have to take front panel off?

Hi Sid, thank you for your question. Yes, you have a filter inside of your pump. Here is a video on how you would generally get to your drain pump: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Baezjud-gyg. To remove the filter on the front you may need some heavy duty pliers. Make sure to have a towel on hand because once you unscrew it, there will likely be water spilling out. When you screw it back in make sure to do so tightly so you have no leaks. Good luck with your repair.

Removed the top (3-4 screws at back). Flowmeter has 2 hoses with hose clamps. Removed with plyers. Simple electrical connector removed.
Reversed procedure. Running perfect now.

... Read more. That fixed for awhile. Problem came back, could 'tap' on flowmeter to temporarily fix. This convinced me that was indeed the problem.
The flowmeter is just a simple vane that moves as water flows across it, and sends pulses each time it rotates. If it 'sticks' then the computer doesn't think any water is coming in - hence the error. Tapping on it would 'unstick' long enough to confirm problem.
Opened the front panel with 3 crews T-25 or socket wrench. Panel comes off right away.
Look for the leak. Determined it was the hose. Use power pliers to remove the clamp.
The small clamp was easy. The big one I had to use my yoga to get to it. It probably would had been easy from the back panel but moving the machi

Once the hose was out I found some bra under wires which is what probably punctured the hose.
Removed the front filter and found a bunch of nails.
Assembly was much easier and placed clamps so that if needed it would be a lot easier to remove and replace.

... Read more year later, and I called another repairman who seemed to have an easier time of it, and charged $293.42 to replace the water level switch. About six months later the same problem recurred and I took the cover off the top of the machine and found there a booklet "For Service Technician's Use Only". VERY HELPFUL. Told how extremely easy it was to unlock door - took about five seconds. Replacing the switch itself involved pulling one tubing off and disconnecting one elec connection from old switch and replacing on new switch. Total cost $50 plus a few dollars for shipping.
