Stove top works. Oven wouldn’t come on. Says Function not available, no matter what you try to set it on. Clock couldn’t be reset. Knocked the breaker and tried that. Clock set. Can start and set oven, but just the lower element comes on, temperature doesn’t work, it gets blazing hot that you can’t touch the stove, no matter of temp setting

Hello Peggy, thank you for contacting us. The issue is most probably related to the temperature sensor, part number PS11726314, and/or the control board, part number PS12704743. The sensor measures the oven temperature and conveys the signal to the control board while the control board monitors the temperature and controls the oven heat. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order. Glad to be of help!
My Whirlpool oven model has a red and red/white wire that connects to the bake element tabs. I pulled the element out, which disconnected the wires from the element tabs. If you are looking at the back of the oven, with the access panel off and the element tabs poking through the insulation, which wire goes to which element tab? For example, the RED Wire to the LEFT element tab, and the RED/WHITE Wire to the RIGHT element tab

Are bake elements polarized? When I removed the old element, the wires came off. I do not know which wire goes to which element terminal. There is a red wire and a red/white wire. Which wire goes to the left terminal, and which wire goes to the right terminal, looking from the back of the oven?

Hello Joe, Thank you for contacting us. Standing from the back, the red/white wire should go to the left terminal and the red wire to the right terminal. We hope this helps.

All the burners seem to cook way to hot. Even on the lowest low setting, everything will still boil.
Then the oven is cooking extremely to hot. When on a bake setting the top broiler cooking burners are even on and putting off all of heat. Sometimes will even get a fault detected error message.
Looking for help to determine what is wrong with this stove. Can you please provide any assistance?
