This is my first problem with the dishwasher, and it started suddenly a few days ago. Unit continuously runs. I've been pressing the drain button after about 90 minutes. Once drained, I can still smell soap. I'll start it again just to rinse off the soap. What is the problem?

unit turns on but does not function. all the setting can be selected but nothing happens. I unplugged it. Is it the main board? Is there a way to reset computer?
For model number WDF540PADM3

Hello John, thank you for contacting us. We believe your model is having this problem because of a faulty door latch. If the door latch is faulty, it might prevent the dishwasher from running. You may need to replace the door latch, part number PS11756967. There is no specific option to reset the control board. We can only reset it by unplugging the dishwasher from the power supply and plugging it back on after a few minutes. We hope this helps.

The water doesn't get hot to wash, but the dryier does heat to dry. The heating element seems to be o.k. Could this be the thermostat causing this problem? Or maybe some other cause.

My filters had completely clogged up with hard deposits and food left on the dishes after running the dishwasher.
My filters had completely clogged up and had not cleaned my filters at all which was a no-no.I had lots of food left on the dishes after running my dishwasher, so I took bothp filters out and replaced them no tools required. I won’t be using powdered or liquid detergent for my dishwasher anymore only pods and promise to clean my filters once a month, so hopefully that’ll help keep them clean. Very easy replacement even for an old woman.
