I can see the filter and the warning labels. Was there suppose to be a cover for the bottom?

Hello Michelle, Thank you for writing. There would be no cover for the filter area. The filter would need to be uncovered to catch and filter the grease. We hope this helps!

What is the difference between PS3495176 and PS3494894?
For model number UXT4230ADS2

Fan motor switch blew 2 minutes after installation of new hood.
Just had to turn off electrical power to the unit. Open the housing that covers the wiring and cup that covers the back of the switches (fan & light). Unscrew the front retaining nut (used a 1/2" wrench)from the fan motor switch and push it out through the back. Cut or disconnect the red & black wire from the hood wiring and replace switc
