I am trying to remove the bump feed housing by rotating counter clock wise because I have a line jam but it won’t turn
For model number UT26SSL3VNM
Hello Dave, thank you for reaching out. We have found that something could be blocking the cap, keeping the line from advancing. To inspect, simply remove and clean out the bump cap housing of any debris that may be impacting its operation. If this is not the issue, we would recommend checking the spool, part number PS16353019, to fix the issue. The spool houses the wound trimmer line, which is located inside the trimmer head. If the line is too thick, it can get stuck and fail to feed; if the line is too thin, it may get overheated by friction when cutting, especially under heavier loads. We hope this solves your problem!

I accidentally removed the cap from the spool and can't put it back on
For model number UT26SSL3VNM
Hi Samantha, thank you for reaching out. Align the knob ribs with the spool slots and place the bump knob onto the spool. Insert the bump knob and spool assembly through the opening in the string head housing. Align the slots on the lower string head housing with the tabs on the upper string head housing. Push the housing together until the tabs snap into place. Hold the spool by the knob while completing the installation. We hope this solves your problem!
