took oven base plate out. diconnected ignitor , put new clips on neutral wire as per instructions, inserted new ignitor, put everything back, worked ok.

Remove broiler pan, disconnect wires from igniter to gas safety valve and connection in back corner of stove, under a metal plate held in with one screw.
