Hi, my Bosch dishwasher is going straight to clean without going trough the cleaning cycle. The sump pump start’s 3 times even though there is no water to pump and then it displays clean directly. At first the problem was intermittent but now it won’t run at all. If i put water in the dishwasher the sump pump does get it out but it seems to just keep pumping even when the dishwasher is empty. Any cues to what could be the problem would be greatly appreciated.

We have researched the model you have provided and we would recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: the water inlet valve, the float switch, the door lock, the circulation pump, the sensor, and the control boards. Also check the wiring for any visible damage. Good Luck with your repair.
Hello Johanne, thank you for writing. The whistling noise may be a problem caused by a faulty inlet water valve. The valve is located at the bottom of the dishwasher, just to the left of the pump. A screen inside the valve may be clogged by debris or food. Clean the filters with soapy water and an old soft toothbrush. The Inlet Valve is part PartSelect Number PS8728724. We hope this helps.
