What is the part called that holds up the drum and allows it to stabilize as it spins. Also would you know the part# it’s a metal rod with a metal spring incased in plastic.

My top loader washer is not draining completely in the spin cycle. The bottom of the pump leaks. Do I just replace the pump? Machine is 10 years old but has always worked fine.
