The left side of my freezer door handle came off when I went to open it the other night. The handle itself is fine, it's the black plastic hinge (?) that is mounted in the freezer door that broke. I can not find this part listed on any website. Am I just missing this part? Any help in getting this fixed would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello Mary, thank you for contacting us. There are many possible reasons why an ice maker may stop working. Some common ones include:
1. The ice maker is not properly connected to a power source or there is a problem with the power source. For this please confirm that it is getting power.
2. The ice maker has run out of water. For this check the water filter, part number PS4138224, and make sure it is not clogged. Also, make sure that the ice maker's water supply line is not frozen.
3. The ice maker's motor is not functioning properly. Please check the motor, part number PS4141572.
4. The ice maker assembly, part number PS5575313, is also a probable culprit.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE: When performing a resistance check on this sensor, make sure your readings match the Samsung temp/resistance chart in their literature. My sensor was way off calibration and was causing the freeze up. Its working as designed now and DW is happy again. Learn from my mistake.
OPENED THE LEFT SIDE REFRIGERATOR DOOR WHERE THE DEFECTIVE MECHANISM WAS. GOT UP ON THE FIRST STEP OF THE STEP STOOL,REMOVED THE PHILLIPS HEAD RETAINING SCREW FROM THE BROKEN PART.PUT THE NEW CLOSING MECHANISM IN PLACE AND RE-INSTALLED THE PHILLIPS HEAD SCREW. STEPPED DOWN FROM THE STEP STOOL AND SHUT THE REFRIGERATOR DOOR.
