My 3 year old Samsung refrigerator (the one with the Flex zone compartment that can be used as freezer or refrigerator) isn't providing freezing to the freezing compartment. It does operate the refrigerator and all other aspects are operational. What could be the malfunction? Any known issues? Suggested repairs?

Hello Joe, Thank you for the question. We suggest testing the Thermal Fuse Assembly. It should read closed for continuity and can test this with a multi-meter. We hope this helps.
OPENED THE LEFT SIDE REFRIGERATOR DOOR WHERE THE DEFECTIVE MECHANISM WAS. GOT UP ON THE FIRST STEP OF THE STEP STOOL,REMOVED THE PHILLIPS HEAD RETAINING SCREW FROM THE BROKEN PART.PUT THE NEW CLOSING MECHANISM IN PLACE AND RE-INSTALLED THE PHILLIPS HEAD SCREW. STEPPED DOWN FROM THE STEP STOOL AND SHUT THE REFRIGERATOR DOOR.
