I then removed the switch from the mounting bracket using a small philips head screw driver. Installed the new switch on the mounting bracket then installed the switch onto the freezer door. time he got the plate off things went fairly swiftly, as he proceeded to remove the screws under the plate; more screws inside the door so the mechanism could be pulled out the back. The parts fit perfectly and all was soon reassembled if reverse order. The repairman used more adhesive to replace the facia plate. The repair was complete and all functioned well.
