How to test oven temp. Sensors
For model number RBE-94K
PartSelect logo
Hi Bruce, thank you for contacting us. Based on our research, you we have found the instructions to test the oven temperature sensors. You may need to follow these steps: 1. Set the multimeter to the resistance setting and adjust the range. 2. Touch probes to the terminals of the sensor. 3. At room temperature you should get a resistance of around 1100 ohms. 4. If the reading shows a significant deviation and falls below 1000 or exceeds 1200 ohms, then it indicates that the sensor is faulty and needs replacement. 5. If there is no resistance and no continuity, then the sensor should also be replaced. 6. Next test to see if the sensor is shorted to the ground through the oven frame. 7. Do a continuity test from each terminal to the metal body of the oven. 8. If you get any resistance, then the sensor has shorted and will need to be replaced. We hope this information helps!

replaced element
just diconnected the electric unscrewed the 2 screws that held the element in place, then i unplugged the old element, plugged in the new element, replaced the 2 retaining screws. that was it! Frigidaire customer service had no clue how to help me find this element for an old wall mount oven. I spent over a half hour on the phone with them.
The cool part about parts select is, I was on the phone with them less than 5 minutes and had already found and paid for the element i was looking for. on and off the phone in less than 5 minutes.
Thanks a lot parts select, what a great experience doing business with you.

Bake element had "hot" spot
Very easy to replace old bake element with new one. Used screw driver to remove the old element, disconnected wires then connected wires to new element and used the screw driver to secure new element.

Bake element wouldn't heat
Older model Frigidaire oven (1957?). Worried that couldn't find the bake element for it. Called and got help. Measured the possible part from picture online and looked like it might work. Sure enough it did. Part arrived quickly and matched up well enough and installed with screwdriver in less than 30 minutes. Powered it up and it "glowed" with delight. My wife had her oven back!
