Fan turns itself on when no one is around, and can’t be shut off at the control pad. Only way to shut it off is unplug the fan lead off the circuit board. (Blue wire)
Plugging that lead back in sometimes restores the fan back in operation at the keypad, but later on it just restarts randomly by itself.

Hello Chris, thank you for your question. The reason for a exhaust fan to turn on automatic is when too much heat has built up from kitchen appliances. We hope this helps.
