Hello Chris and thanks for writing.
Your unit has an internal fuse part # PS239525, but it also sounds like you might have an additional issue with the secondary door switch part # PS237421, check both and replace it if damaged. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime.

Should the thermal fuse WB27X1127 have continuity at room temp?
For model number PT970SR3SS
Hello James, thank you for contacting us. At room temperature, the thermal fuse that you mentioned should have continuity, meaning that there is a complete electrical connection and current can flow through it. If the thermal fuse does not have continuity at room temperature, it is likely that the fuse has tripped and needs to be replaced. We hope that helps!

Why does microwave hum when breaker turned on.
Microwave stopped working. Replaced fuse. Blew fuse again. Replaced 3 door switches. Blew fuse again. Capacitor tested bad; replaced. Microwave worked for 2 weeks before starting to hum continuously, even when not in use. Disconnected power at breaker.

Hello Sandi, thank you for reaching out. Ensure that the high-voltage diode is working properly. If it is fine, the issue could be with the magnetron, part number PS239660. It is likely causing the issue, as an internal short can cause a continuous heavy draw on the high-voltage circuit. The defect creates a magnetic field vibration that results in a constant hum and typically blows fuses to prevent an electrical fire. Replacing it might help fix the issue. We hope this helps!

Microwave completely stopped working
Turned out the issue was easily solved by replacing a single, inexpensive fuse.
First off, UNPLUG THE MICROWAVE.
The fuse is located under the plastic grill at the top of the microwave. It's held on by two screws. Once you've removed the screws and taken off the plastic grill, you go to the right side of the mic ... Read more rowave and remove another screw that holds a small metal grill in place. Removing the small metal grill is probably the toughest part of this repair. You kind of have to rock it back and forth a bit to get it to release. Once that's off, you can get to the fuse. I removed the burnt out one with a pair of needle nose pliers. I also put a small piece of cardboard under the fuse when I did this so I didn't accidentally drop it into the innards of the microwave. I did the same thing when I replaced the new fuse. I then plugged the appliance back in and made sure it worked. Once that was confirmed, I replaced both grills.
