Generator was knocked on it's side and it drained oil. We need to replace oil. We can't find where to put the oil and would like to know the best kind of oil to use for replacement.

Hi James,
Thank you for your question. The oil fill is located on top of the engine (OHV) valve cover, battery side of the unit. To add oil, you will need a flexible long necked funnel. When adding oil make sure the drain plug is closed. You should use 10W30 oil in temperatures below 50 degrees and use 30 weight oil in temperatures above 50 degrees. We hope this helps!
