Meat temp probe not working right. Sometimes shows 3 --- or temp bounces around, sometimes turns oven off. Do I need a new jack or just the probe.

Hello Karen, thank you for contacting us. The most probable cause of the issue is a faulty meat probe sensor. We would recommend replacing it with the meat probe, part number PS11757868. Customer service is always available to help you place an order if you are having trouble doing so. Good luck with your repair.
I called a repair place. They charged $54 to diagnose, (said it needed a new latch motor) then wanted $220 to complete the repair. I checked online prices and did it myself for about 15 minutes work and the latch motor itself ($44?).
