Does the grass cover part come with trimmer line cutter on it?

I need the cap that fits over the spool to hold the spool in for the 18V P2008 string trimmer. Is this the right part?

My line gets wrapped around under the spoolhousing. It looks like the green guard busted off. What part do I need to replace it?

Where dose the compression spring go
For model number P2008
Hello Charlie, thank you for getting in touch. The compression spring (trigger), part number PS18788680. This spring is located inside the main handle assembly. It sits directly behind or under the switch trigger and lock-off trigger to provide the spring-back tension when you pull and release the trigger. We hope this helps.
NOTE: Ryobi parts are interchangeable with other model and part numbers. Item needed was no longer available. But keep looking for something that would work. ... Read moreo wrap around spool base. Simple change out. Remove 3 Philip screws to remove defector. Hold shaft base with needle nose pliers and turn spool base counterclockwise to remove spool base. Reverse steps to assemble back. Having the right tools helps. Spray screw head with WD-40 let sit a few minutes will help loosen dirty old the screw.
