Dryer starts, igniter glows, gas valve opens and lights for about 5 seconds and goes out and then repeats. Does not dry clothes. Already replaced thermistor and thermal thermostat. What else could it be? Tired of guessing.

Hello Steve, Thank you for the question. We suggest testing to see if you have a weak igniter. On a good igniter, there should be between 40 & 400 OHMS. First it was a process of alimination to find out why it was dropping out. After the problem was found it was just a matter of replacing the holding coil on the gas valve. Thank you fred kenney sr
First remove the top of this particular dryer, to get to the necessary screws. computer is located on the left side, and 3 screws frees it up. Then disconnect the wires.
