Agitating and filling at some time in normal ring.
For model number MVWC6ESWW1
Hi Jeffery, thank you for the great question. If your washer fills and agitates at the same time, the water level switch has failed and is telling the timer that the unit has enough water in it to start agitating. We recommend replacing the sensor switch, part number PS11751047, to fix your issue. Good luck with this repair!

Washer leaving cloths wet, drains but leaves cloths very wet. The coupling seems worn, but still intact. Does spin and drain. Is this a sensor, or should I replace the coupling?
For model number MVWC6ESWW1
Hello Dan, Thank you for the question. If the appliance is draining but spinning slow and not spinning water from the clothes, I suggest starting with the worn coupling. Hope this helps!

Machine will not fill water on wash and rinse cylcle but will work the rest of the cycle..where can i get parts
For model number MVWC6ESWW1
Hi Ronald,
Thank you for your question. If the washer is not filling with water, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the lid switch, the knob insert and the sensor switch. You will need to test the electronic parts with a multi-meter. Here is a link to one of our videos on YouTube that you may use as a general reference on how to use one, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWC44fHn0As. For more information on how to test these parts, click on the Appliance Repair link on our website and on the next page that comes up click on the washer icon. When the next page comes up, you will be provided with a symptoms list. Choose the "Not filling with water" symptom and the information will come up for you. For the knob insert, inspect it visually to see if it is installed correctly and to see if it is damaged. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day.

Spin cycle work but does not remove water, laundry is still wet
For model number MVWC6ESWW1
Hello Loren, thank you for your question. We have researched your model and found that there are multiple issues that cause this problem. The most likely culprit for a washer that spins but still turns out soaked clothing is a drain hose problem. It could be clogged, kinked, or even positioned incorrectly. If the hose checks out, you now need to look deeper into the drain assembly of your washer. Start with the easiest option, the drain filter. The drain filter, sometimes also called a coin trap, helps prevent items from entering your drain pump, causing damage or clogs. If the filter has checked out, the next step is to check the drain pump. It may have become clogged with debris itself or it could be malfunctioning and needs to be replaced. You can check the drain pump by removing the drain hose as well as the back panel of your washer. You can inspect it for debris, which should be obvious to see. If you find no blockages, you will want to test the drain pump to make sure it is actually working properly. Over time, the belt that helps spin the washer drum can become stretched and will affect how fast the washer can spin. If the belt is stretched out, it can slide around during the cycle and will not allow the washer to reach the speeds that it needs to in order to remove all excess water. We hope that helps!

Washes in normal cycle but will not spin. But it will wash and spin in casual setting
For model number MVWC6ESWW1
Hi Mike. Many washing machines have multiple-speed drive motors. Though it's uncommon, the drive motor may work fine on one speed but not on another. If the drive motor has failed on one speed, you need to replace the entire motor. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.

Upper portion of agitator, no longer pushing clothing down.
The instructions came with the repair kit, it was fairly simple and straight foward.

Very easy do-it-yourself repair! Took about 20 minutes because I was being cautious. Next time I could do it in 5 minutes.

Washer not agitating
On top of the agitator is a flat cap that is held in place by the friction of an o-ring, there are no fasteners. I would imagine one could get under the lip with a small screwdriver or butter knife to pop it off but I chose simply using my fingernails so as to not disfigure the cap. Under the cap you will find the head of the only bolt

that holds the assembly together it is a 7/16 head and because it is in a 4" deep well your will need a 6" extension for your ratchet. Once the bolt is out the top of the agitator, the assembly with the cogs removes by hand. Set the assembly upside down on the counter, slide the black plastic ring off, pull the cogs out with your fingertips, install the new cogs put a new black ring on and set the assembly back in the agitator. Reinstall bolt. As the bolt is down in a tube, you cannot set it in place with your fingers and it will fall out of the socket. To hold the bolt in the socket during positioning you can either put a gob of Vaseline on the bolt head to hold it in the socket or form a small piece of paper over the bolt head and set it into the socket, the friction of the paper will hold the bolt into the socket. Took me less then 10 minutes, good luck
