My Maytag washer model MHWE201YW00 is able to wash, rinse and pump the water out, but skip spinning the drum to extract the water from the wet clothes. To spin the drum, I wait until the normal washing cycle finishes then I select the spin function only, then it spins and extract the water from the wet clothes. This option sometimes it does not work There is no Error Codes currently. I unplugged the power for an hour, but no luck. What does it cause not to spin in this case in normal washing cycle?

Codes F6 & E1 coming up and the MCU works fine but cycle not iniatining what parts do I need?
For model number MHWE201YW00
PartSelect logo
Hi Tiffany, thank you for reaching out. The F6E1 error code signifies a communication error between the main control and the motor control of your washer. If the MCU is working fine, then you may need to make sure there is no wiring issue between the two and all connections are properly made. Also, unplug the appliance for a few minutes and plug it back on to reset it. If the issue persists, then you may need to check the user interface control board, part number PS11753744, as it is most likely faulty. We hope this information helps!

water pump failed
Pump started making noises like ball bearings grinding. took the lower front cover off pulled the strainer out of the pump housing and found $2.55 in nickles dimes and quarters. Some 223 bullets and about 20 bobby pins. Together they had destroyed the impeller, so ordering a new one and installing it did the trick. Easy installation about 15mins.
