No error codes are displayed. Problem washing machine will turn on by itself run through some settings and beeping. Then turn off. When trying run a cycle will start but the it will change settings on its own then turn off. Thanks for your help.

Hello James, Thank you for the question. This is normally an indication the cycle timer is defective. The timer for this model is part of the Washer Electronic Control Board, so the board will need to be replaced. We hope this helps!
My machine is displaying an E01 F09 error about 1/3 of the way through a wash cycle (regardless of which one is selected) and after checking the drain filter and lines for blockages, I'm guessing the issue is with the pump itself. BUT, after the error, if I cancel and run a Drain/Spin cycle, the pump seems to work like it should. Could the issue be in the control board rather than the pump?

Hello Nichole, thank you for writing. Whirlpool Duet Washer Error Code E01 F09 means LONG DRAIN TIME. When your Whirlpool washer goes into drain mode and the drain time is past 8 minutes and not reaching the reset level in the pressure sensor then the valves in the drain are turned off and the drain pump will cease to pump out the water. If the resent does not work, then yes you should replace the board PS12349100. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you.
Moving front load washer across country, do I need transfer bolts? Also dryer, any special thing I need to know. Thank you
For model number MHW5500FW1
Hello Teri, thank you for contacting us. Using a shipping or transfer bolt kit (part number: PS10066105) is necessary when moving the washer.
Before moving the washer please keep the following instructions in mind:
a. Disconnect and drain water inlet hoses.
b. If the washer will be moved during freezing weather, follow WINTER STORAGE CARE directions before moving.
c. Disconnect the drain hose from the drain system and from the back of the washer.
d. Unplug the power cord.
e. Place inlet hoses and drain hoses inside the washer drum.
f. Bundle the power cord with a rubber band or cable tie to keep it from hanging onto the ground.
IMPORTANT: Call for service to install new transport bolts. Do not reuse transport bolts. The washer must be transported in the upright position. To avoid structural damage to your washer, it must be properly set up for relocation by a certified technician.
We hope this information helps!
It makes like a grinding noise when filling with water
For model number MHW5500FW1
Hi Kevin, thank you for your inquiry. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend checking the water inlet valve, part number PS8689091, as it is the most likely cause of this issue. If the washer is noisy, particularly when the washer is filling, the water inlet valve may be at fault. Over time, mineral deposits can build up inside the valve and cause a restriction. If the water inlet valve is restricted, it will make a noise during the fill cycle. If the water inlet valve is defective, you may need to replace it. We hope this solves your problem!
Not every time but more frequently error code E01 F09. Trap in pump clean, upon reset will restart
For model number MHW5500FW1
Hi Diane, thank you for getting in touch. The error code F09 E01 means that you have an issue with the drain and clogged hose. We would recommend you check if the drain is clogged or kinked. If this is not an issue, you may need to replace the drain pump, part number PS11756700. We hope this helps, good luck with the repair!
This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great.
First some background. The door locked up the first time when appliance was less than one year old. The "Maytag Repairman" finally succeeded in getting the door open after propping up the front of the machine and fumbling around underneath for a period of time and then assured me the problem was solved. The problem recurred less than a
... Read more year later, and I called another repairman who seemed to have an easier time of it, and charged $293.42 to replace the water level switch. About six months later the same problem recurred and I took the cover off the top of the machine and found there a booklet "For Service Technician's Use Only". VERY HELPFUL. Told how extremely easy it was to unlock door - took about five seconds. Replacing the switch itself involved pulling one tubing off and disconnecting one elec connection from old switch and replacing on new switch. Total cost $50 plus a few dollars for shipping.
Turned washer on its side. Pulled the bottom plate off. Then unplugged the electrical lines. Then unbolted the drain pump and bolted the new drain pump in. Then reversed the process.
