The microwave works just fine but it makes random firecracker bursting like sounds. Possibly the magnetron is about to die.

We have researched the model you have provided and we would recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: the door switches, the safety thermostat, the high limit thermostats, the high voltage diode, the capacitor, and the magnetron. You can test the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you. For safety reasons, since the microwave capacitor can still store electricity even when the microwave is unplugged, it is usually advised that you discharge the capacitor before any attempt at repair. The repair was very easy, however the bulb was not the same as the original one. The original bulb had a bright setting and a low setting, but the replacement bulb was only the low setting bulb. There was no bright and dim operation. The switch on the microwave had the duel settings.
Removed control panel, discharged HV capacitor. Removed old diode, tested to confirm failure. Replaced part. Other than the removal of the panel swapping the part was almost as easy as replacing a light bulb.
I removed the body latch assembly and found the bottom micro switch (NC) terminal burnt and loose. I replaced and working perfectly fine now. Easy diagnose and easy repair.
