freezer icing up, refrigerator
. has moister
For model number LFTR1835VF3
Hi Jon,
Thank you for your question. If there is moisture getting inside the refrigerator, this may be caused by the door being left open too long or the door is not sealing properly. As moisture builds up in the refrigerator, as it goes through its cooling and defrost cycles, the moisture will start to freeze and will eventually overtime ice will build up. Check the door gasket to make sure that it is sealing. If it is not, try cleaning it with warm soapy water to remove any dirt from it. If this does not help, you may need to replace the door gasket. We hope this helps!

My freezer is extremely cold gets frosty and the fridge is too warm. Whats wrong?
For model number LFTR1835VF3
Hi Val,
Thank you for your question. If the freezer is too cold and the fresh food section is too warm, check the condenser coils to see if there dust on them. If there is dust on the coils it will prevent the refrigerator from dispensing heat from the refrigerant and the refrigerator will not operate correctly. If the freezer is frosting up, there may be ice build up around the evaporator fan motor and blade. The evaporator fan motor circulates cool air from the freezer into the fresh food section. If there is an ice build up around the motor, defrost the refrigerator. Also check the temperature controls and make sure that both sections are set to the correct temperatures. We hope this helps!

Fridge started making a loud racket. Condenser Fan Blade then disintegrated to dust and pieces. The plastic had degraded significantly.
The repair itself total time was quick and easy. Since the original fan blade blew apart, it was only a matter of putting the new one on in it's place. This can be done by feeding the blade between the cowling and Condenser coil and applying pressure to get it on the shaft.
If your fan is still on the shaft, simply push it off ... Read more and extract it the same way. Then place the new one on the shaft.
In my case, since the part would take a couple days to get, and I had food both in the fridge and the freezer, I removed and unplugged the Condenser Fan Motor and the cowling frame and temporarily spliced a small fan I had into the line for the condenser motor. This kept the fridge working long enough to get the replacement part.
Side note. Direction of airflow is towards the Compressor, and draws air across the Condenser coils.
Hope this helps someone. :)

New gasket
First I’ve done this many times no issues. This gasket which finally fit was the worst item and first from partselect. I’ve never had such a hard time getting the gasket to stay in the groove. Softened it and everything. Had to carefully use a plastic shim inch by inch. Bad bad bad!!
