The freezer works great, but the refrigerator stopped getting cold. What would cause this?
For model number LFPH45F4LM
Hi Jennifer,
Thank you for your question. If the refrigerator is too warm, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the evaporator fan motor, the thermostat, the thermostat control, the defrost timer and the heater. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

I am trying to reverse the door swing but am having a problem with the lower door bracket. Itappears that it can only be used on one side. The upper bracket between the fridge door and freezer can be used on either side. Can you help me with this problem?
For model number LFPH45F4LM
Hello Richard and thank you for writing.
This door should be reversible, as most refrigerators are. The bottom hinge is PS8760436 and appears to be the same for both sides. Check for any damage to the old hinge and replace it if needed. For your convenience, we have attached the link to your service manual. We hope this helps. Good luck with your repair.

Freezer is cold almost freezing but refrigerator not cooling
For model number LFPH45F4LM
Hello Liz, thank you for your question. There are a few parts that could cause this issue. You can test them with a multi meter, First test the bi-metal thermostat. To test your Bi-Metal Defrost Thermostat, part number PS8760442. Unplug your refrigerator and remove the thermostat. There are numbers on the side of the thermostat. The first number next to the L is the limit temperature that the thermostat opens up at. To get the closing temperature you have to take the first number and subtract the second number. This will give you the temperature that the thermostat closes at. Place the thermostat in a working freezer. Test for continuity while the thermostat is colder than the closing temperature. Place a probe on each of the thermostat’s terminals. The thermostat should have continuity. While the thermostat is warmer than the opening temperature it should not have continuity. Next, test your Temperature Control Thermostat. Part number PS8760458. To test this thermostat place the thermostat in ice cold water for 2-3 minutes after removing it from your appliance. It should be reading 0 ohms to be working correctly. Another part to check would be your defrost heater, part number: PS8760441. Remove it from the appliance. It should be reading anywhere between 0 - 50 ohms to be working. These are the most common parts so we suggest checking these first. We hope this helps.

Timer had gone bad
Just took the bad timer off and install the new one. Was a breeze! Refrigerator is working just fine. Saved over $200 installing it myself.
