I opened the door not once but twice while it was running and now it will not work. I have unplugged it and tried to reset it and nothing helps or resolves the issue. I’m thinking that it’s where you close the door and it makes connection to the front panel, that I messed it up. Could it be the brain is messed up now or what do I have to do to repair it?

My LG dishwasher will not turn on. It acts like no power but connection is fine and breakers have all been checked. We lost power during a storm for 12 hours then when it came back on the dishwasher won’t turn on. Could this be fuse of some sort?

Hello Cameron, thank you for contacting us. According to our research, your model does not come with a fuse. We would recommend checking the control board, part number PS16621815, to solve the problem. A malfunctioning control board can most probably cause this issue. We hope this helps!
Replacing this pump is pretty easy. Disconnect the power and drain hose, and pull your dishwasher out from the counter. Lay it on its side on a towel. There WILL be spillage. Disconnecting the pump is simple. There are a couple hoses, one single wire connection (the thermistor) and one multi-wire plug. The pump is held in place by a

After removing the pump, I disassembled it to find out why these fail so soon. It's a very poor design. I found that the nose of the electric motor, where the bearings are located, sits in a plastic cup formed by the top of the pump body. Any leakage from the pump around the motor shaft will be held in place against the motor bearing. It has no place to go. This causes rusting of the bearing. I expect I'll be replacing this one in a few years. :(
But kudos to PartsSelect for getting the right pump assembly for me, after getting the wrong one from another supplier!
The inside gasket deteriorates over time - However replacement is easy. the main thing you have to remember is after you remove the old gasket, install the new one starting at the middle top of the tub and work your way down both sides. Ordered the roller from Parts Select, slid the roller over the little spindle sticking out of the bottom rack and snapped it in place. Job done in less than one minute.
