flame is pretty orange, hooked up for propane so orifices are correct. How can you adjust the amount of air getting to flame ? Everything is clean as a pin so it's not dirt blocking anything. I see air dampeners on other styles of gas cooktops but the does not have one that I can find. thanks, Alan

Hi Alan, Thank you for your question. According to your owner's manual, for your cooktop to function normally, do not obstruct the flow of combustion and ventilation air around the burner grate edges. Make sure that the burner cap is clean and in place when using the burner. An improperly placed or dirty burner cap can lead to poor ignition and uneven flames. Anytime water overflows on the stovetop, clean and properly position the burner cap. Make sure that the gas tube opening is free of food debris, spills, cleaning agents, or any other material. Also keep the burner ports free of food debris, spills or any other material. If the burner ports are clogged, clean them. If the burner cap is warped and not fitting correctly on the burner, replace it. We hope this helps!
