Where can i find instructions to replace glass cooktop
For model number KESS907SSS02
Good Day Jeffrey. Thank you for your question in regards to your unit (Model Number KESS907SSS02). We recommend wearing a pair of thin but protective work gloves. For safety reasons, please ensure that your unit is unplugged from any power outlets. You may want to gently slide your stove away from the counter into the kitchen so you can work more easily. Open the oven door, there should be two Phillips head screws holding your cooktop to the stove frame. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws. Set the screws aside so you can reinstall them later. You will now need to remove the cooktop from the stove frame and set it aside. If the cooktop is broken, there may be sharp pieces of glass or ceramic in the work area. Be sure to use your gloves so you don't cut yourself. If the burners are not attached to the stove frame, simply lift off the cooktop and set it aside. Clean the area using a vacuum if there's any debris. You now should be ready to install your replacement cooktop. Slide your cooktop on to the frame, there should be noticeable notches where it slides on. Now you can secure your cooktop to the frame using the two screws you removed in the beginning. You then should be ready to push the unit back into place and plug it back in. Hope this helps. Best Regards.

Something Kitchen Aid wont tell you but running a self clean on this model stove blows the fuse located on the back of the stove.
First I slid the stove out and removed the back of the stove held in place by 8 Phillips screws. The thermostat fuse is located near the top middle on the back of the stove. Remove the 2 screws holding it in place. Disconnect the wires, plug in the new part. Put it all back together. Job done in less than 30 minutes.
This repair would have cost $164 through A&E factory service.
