The door handle on my microwave is pulling out. How do i disassemble the door to reinforce the mounting point at the lower door handle mount?

Hello John, Thank you for your inquiry. To take the door apart, start by using a pulley knife to remove the plastic liner on the inside of the door by inserting it on the edges either on the inner or outer edge and gently working your way around. Next remove the screws that hold the inner door liner to the outer frame. Move the inner door back and watch to make sure the door glass stays in place. You should now be able to access the handle screws to unthread them and remove the handle. Install the new handle, reattach the inner line, then snap the plastic liner back into place. Good luck with your repair.

The microwave now blows the circuit breaker when I hit start. It began when I opened the microwave while it was still running. Do I need to replace the switch?

having a hard time finding a replacement for the glass platter

The surface lights on the bottom of the microwave are both out. Is it the bulbs or something else?

Hello Jan, thank you for contacting us. According to our research, the issue could be with the main control board, part number PS8754630. It manages various microwave functions such as heating, lighting and turntable operation. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
1. Unplug unit 2. Open door, remove two screws above the top trim piece, slide and remove trim. 3. Remove screw behind control board and top left corner, then release from position. 3b. Unplug all wire terminations and set control panel aside. 4. Remove two screws securing latch board, lift and rotate board
... Read moreout of position, remove three micro switches, xfer monitor switch actuator from lower pin in old board and insert in new. Install new door switches and reverse procedure to complete repair.
Note 1. Take care to located new latch board so holding tabs line up, pass through frame, and openings for door tangs line up with openings in frame before securing with screws.
Open the front cover by pushing it at the top (where it says “Push”), lifting up and pushing back on top edge of the old filter. Pull it out. Installing the new one is basically just the reverse of those steps! That simple.
