How do i get to the fuse in a cabinet mounted microwave
For model number JVM3160DF1WW
Hi Sharon,
Thank you for your question. NOTE: If you are not comfortable doing this yourself, please get an electrician to do this repair. Before you begin any repair, please unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to unthread the screws securing the grill. With the screws removed, open the microwave oven door then the slide the grill to the left and lift it up to remove. Next remove the control panel mounting screw then lift the control panel up to detach. Then remove the screw holding the inner access panel and then release the panel from the retaining clips. To avoid injury, you will need to release the potentially dangerous charge from the capacitor by placing a screwdriver with an insulated handle across the terminals. Be careful not to touch the metal portion of the tool. Use pliers to detach the old fuse from the noise filter board. Install the new fuse by snapping it into the bracket. Replace the inner access panel and secure it with the screws. Now insert the control panel tabs into the slots in the frame and push the panel down. Secure it with the mounting screw. Insert the tabs of the grill into the frame and slide it to the right. Shut the oven door and then secure the grill with the screws. Plug the power cord back in and the microwave should now work. If you would like to place an order for a fuse, customer service is open 7 days a week and anyone will be happy to assist you. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

Microwave oven keeps tripping the circuit breaker.
For model number JVM3160DF1WW
Hi Gerald,
Thank you for your question. If the microwave is tripping the circuit breaker, it may be on the same circuit as some other appliances in your home. Make sure that the microwave has its own dedicated circuit. If it does, and the breaker is tripping, the microwave maybe malfunctioning. To test to see if the microwave is malfunctioning, plug the microwave in an area where the breaker is set for a higher current or amperage rating. If the circuit breaker trips, then the issue is with the microwave and it will need to be replaced. If the circuit breaker does not trip, the microwave is fine and it will need its own dedicated circuit. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day.
