I have no heat at the broiler, the oven works fine. Your diagnostics said the long sensor corrected the issue 99% of the time. I bought it installed it and it did not work. The oven still works fine, the broiler still does not work. I assume i should have replaced the broiler element. Is that correct, will you give me a discount since the diagnostic led me in the wrong direction and did not fix the issue? Thanks, van

Ever since I did the self clean my oven won’t heat up to set temperature and take hours just to get to 290 degrees. Also the rapid preheat push button doesn’t seem to work . I have previously change the heat probe and the door casket . If you have any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated

Hello Glenda, thank you for your question. There are instances that using the self clean feature can damage the Electric Control PS11745999 and/or associated wiring. We suggest testing the unit with a multimeter. We hope this helps.
Removed the oven door by opening slightly, then pic door up to remove. Remove 2 screws holding oven sensor in place, gently pull on sensor to remove, had to remove about 8 inches to get at plastic connector. Unplug connector, had to use an adapter cable supplied with the PartSelect kit to install new sensor, push cable back into opening,

($600.00 stove 2 years old)Please Note: The insulation blanket needed for the entire stove is two pieces, the sides and top are one part # and the bottom and back, are another part #. I did not know this. I just purchased the top and sides. I got lucky, the back and bottom were still in good shape. So I guess I should have read the description of the part more carefully to see what it covers, before I ordered it. It took two people two hours to do the work, it was really nice to have an extra set of eyes, to remember what direction pieces of metal from the stove went. I would do it all over in a heart beat instead of buying a new stove.

... Read moreen rethreading the screw hole. On to the ignitor replacement. The tiny screw holding the ignitor was corroded and would not come out. It too had to be drllled out and rethreaded. It was a 1/3" #4 screw with fine threads. Had to get it an appliance repair store as the local hardware places don't carry fine threaded screws. Finally got it all put back together after a week. My advice before ordering an ignitor is make sure you can take the current burner off the cooktop first to do the repair in the first place. BTW, the ignitor I ordered came quickly and was the correct part!
