We have never been able to lock the dishwasher door and you have to hold it a few second so it does not come open.

Thank you for your question. If the door is not shutting correctly, you will need to replace the door latch assembly. The part number listed under your model number for the door latch assembly is PS11731673. I ordered a new replacement basket. The new one is a little different but it fits in the same place and takes up the same amount of room in the dishwasher. It looks very nice too.
