Washing machiine is locked with some water in tub

Hi Sonya, thank you for contacting us. Unplug it for 60 seconds, then plugging it back in and see if the latch will reset. If that does not work, leave the washer plugged in for 20 minutes and it should unlock. When the lock will not disengage, you have to open the door latch, part number PS16660426, manually and replace it. Good luck with your repair!
This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great.

Replaced the Whirlpool washer water inlet valve. 1. Unplug washer 2. Close Hot and Cold water valves 3. Remove top cover of the machine by taking out 3 screws in the top back. Slide top back and remove. 4. Water Inlet Valve is located on the back left side, remove tubing using a nutdriver to loosen the hose clamps.
