at the top of the Ref. ice was dripping out at the back where cold air should have been coming out. Master board was replaced by a GE tech and unit worked for a short period of time. Now the freezer fan was making a large noise and food started to thaw I open the freezer door and took all the food out. I left the door open for an hour or more with ref. off and a lot of ice dropped out into the bottom of the freezer. No noise for now however the refrigerator now is forming ice . I am tired of baby sitting this one year old ref. Any help here?? I have a 5 year service agreement with Mannys but it takes the THEM ONE WEEK TO COME ONE WEEK TO ORDER PARTS AND A SECOND WEEK TO COME
For model number GWE19JYLGFFS
Hello Frank, thank you for reaching out to us. First, clear the drain or any ice buildup that has formed. Check the door gaskets, and make sure the door is sealing properly. If the doors are not tightly closed, warm air can enter, which can cause ice buildup again. Check the defrost heater, part number PS16660014. If the defrost heater is faulty, ice will build up quickly, which can block the drain again. Check the evaporator fan blades and motor, if the blades are fine and the fan is still not working properly, replace the evaporator fan motor, part number PS16729767. We hope this information helps!

lower pull out drawer handle fastener to freezer was broken on one side.
I ordered the plastic fastener, that held the handle to the freezer door.
after I received the part I used a screw driver to attach the fastener to the door. Then I placed the handle onto the fastener and bumped the handle with my hand to the left. this attached the handle to the door.

Fridge keeps cycling on and off and a clicking sound happens every time compressor cycles.
I opened the back panel of the fridge and exposed the compressor. Unplugged existing run capacitor and installed new one with the addition of the sleeve that is stated must be installed around the run capacitor.
Everything I read and on this web site says that based on these symptoms, that the problem is the run capacitor. I search ... Read more ed and search for a part called a start relay which plugs in to the compressor. This run capacitor plugs in to this other part which I take as the start relay.
Installing this run capacitor did not solve the problem. The fridge compressor keeps cycling on and off. Freezer doesn't keep as cold as it should.
