Why won’t the water fill up in my washing machine during cycles nothing comes out the valves
For model number GUD24ESSM0WW
PartSelect logo
Hello David, Thank you for the question. We suggest testing the Water Inlet Valve. Set your multitester to the ohms resistance scale X 1. Place each of the meter's probes to one terminal. Because the reading can vary from brand to brand and from model to model, there is no one reading you should receive. However, if your test produces a reading of infinity, then the solenoid is bad and the water valve should be replaced. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

The washer only allows hot water into the machine The lines are connected correctly, hot & cold Regardless of the setting i choose it fills with hot water Any ideas of tyhe problem
For model number GUD24ESSM0WW
PartSelect logo
Hello Bryan, thank you for your question. We would first recommend testing/replacing the valve. The water valve is PartSelect Number PS12343369 and opens to allow hot and cold water into the unit. If that part is not the issue, the problem could be with the electronic control board. I hope this helps.

Water running to machine but does not run when washing a load
For model number GUD24ESSM0WW
PartSelect logo
Hello Eugene, thank you for writing. If we understand the question correctly, the water will run to the machine when it fills initially as well as after it rinses. The water does not run while a load is agitating. If this is not what you meant, please let us know by resubmitting the question with more detail or contact an agent at 888-260-4310. We hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Socks dropping outside of the drum into the bottom caused the drive belt to come off.
I put the old belt back on but it came off after a couple of washing. I had ordered a new one. Trouble was the new belt would work its way off the large smooth wheel as I turned the motor pully to get the belt on. Solution: I taped up a stack of shims to fit between the washer bottom and the back, bottom of the smooth, drum wheel. This stopped the drive belt from rotating off as I turned the motor pully. Success. You're laying on your side, on the floor, with minimum room under the drum and lots of sharp edges.
