Hello, my dishwasher works intermittent. Once every six, seventh attempt it will go through the cycle no problem but most of the time we have to reset it couple times before we get lucky and have a full cycle washing. The cycle start doesn’t matter which cycle and when there is approx 41 minute left to the cycle it skip steps and goes down to 2 minutes left. We perform reset hitting normal button following by heat and dry button in quick succession. Any ideas what could be the cause?

Hello Sebastien, thank you for contacting us. Please inspect the door latch, part number PS886319, and make sure the door is getting properly closed. If the latch is good, sometimes the dishwasher will stop mid-cycle because of the thermal fuse shorting out. A thermal fuse, part number PS774514, can either get fouled, dirty, broken, or loosely connected. If your dishwasher is older, the thermal fuse is used as a safety switch to stop the motor and circuit board when the dishwasher is overheated. You can test the thermal fuse via a multimeter before changing it. If this does not help, please check the connections in the electronic circuit board. If you would like assistance placing an order, please contact customer service. Good luck with your repair!

All's well. Note-I purchased an extra link anticipating that the other one will fail. They're cheap enough.
Rather than remove the pump assembly - as an earlier post had done - I pulled the entire dishwasher out and laid it down on the floor. This allowed easy, direct access to the motor (that was the hard, messy part). From this point it was easy. Unplug the wiring, remove the retaining bolt, rotate the motor off the mounting brackets and pull
... Read more it out. Then put the new one in. That was the easy part (about 15 minutes). The entire job took 2-and-a-half hours, most of which was taken in disconnecting, cleaning up and reconnecting the dishwasher. It's much quieter now.
