My dryer starts and after a few minutes it will cut itself off, cool down for a minutes then start back again until it finishes the cycle.

Thank you for your question. If the dryer stops after a few minutes, the drive motor may be overheating. Wait a few minutes to see if starts again. If it does, it indicates that the motor was overheating. If it does not restart, you may have an air restriction. Inspect the lint filter, the lint chute, exhaust hose, and the exterior vent for lint build up. If these items are full of lint, they will need to be thoroughly cleaned. If these parts are free of lint, make sure that you are not overfilling the dryer. If the dryer is not overfilled, then the motor will need to be replaced. We hope this helps!

Removed gas line. removed control panel, removed top, removed front, removed burner, replaced igniter, put back in. paused and played the video. very easy to do. 42 minutes and I had a few beers.
The bracket on the part supplied was different than the original. The wire connector was also different. The bracket had to be drilled for a hole to match the original. The connector had to be cut off and the wires soldered together, then tied off to the frame to keep them away from the flame. The repair works like new but not the simple

Good thing my husband is so handy. This part was very difficult to get to. Basically, he had to take apart almost the whole dryer. There is no access door so the side panel had to be removed, but before you could do that the front panel and door had to come off, then the top of the dryer. Keep track of the screws, we had a few leftover!
