I accidentally Locked the display and when I unlocked it it will give me crushed ice or water but the cubed light won’t come on.
For model number GRFS2853AF0
Hello Dave, thank you for contacting us. Carefully inspect the area behind and below the ice bin for any ice that may have fallen and become lodged, preventing the mechanism from switching to cubed mode. Look for a metal bar at the bottom of the ice bin. If this bar is obstructed by ice, it can prevent the dispenser from switching from crushed to cubed. Inspect the ice chute and dispenser area for any blockages, such as ice cubes or debris. Remove any blockages you find. We hope this information helps!

There is an error message on the front of the refrigerator. Er CE
I unplugged it but message did not go away. Is there board that needs replaced?
For model number GRFS2853AF0
Hi Carli, thank you for reaching out. The error code indicates a communication failure between the user interface and main control board. We would suggest checking the dispenser control board, part number PS16731364. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!

I need the rear wheels or glides. Please help.
For model number GRFS2853AF0
Hello Diane, Thank you for writing. Researching this model we show Frigidaire has only made front Wheels. To move the appliance you will need to tip it forward slightly to rest on the front wheels. Not having rear wheels keeps the appliance stable and from moving around when opening and closing the doors. We hope this information helps!

My fridge temp was warm. Freezer temp was ok, but fluctuated some.
I checked the dampener, it worked. The compressor and fan worked. I knew because my freezer was still hovering around 10 degrees. Coils were clean. Thermistor was the only thing it could be. Took all my shelves out. Removed four screws. Took the back panel off. The thermistor sits tucked in on the side. I piped it out, in clipped it. Used

my multimeter to test the numbers. Numbers were off just a bit. Ordered the part. Crossed my fingers.,took less then 5 minutes to put the part in. Plugged in the fridge. It was sitting at 33 degrees in about an hour and a half. I can’t believe I fixed it. I knew NOTHING about refrigerators. For how big my fridge is, it would have cost 3,000 and up to get a new one with the same cu ft size. Instead, it cost me $44. That includes shipping. Thank you Parts Select!! Made it so easy to pick the correct part for my model fridge!

Roller screw recipients broke out. Can't be repaired.
Was not able to repair. Wasn't rollers I needed. Plastic screw recipients in front on frame had broken out so rollers weren't the problem. Tried gluing back pieces to no avail. Crisper frames are poorly designed.

Old door gasket was worn and edge was cut
Pulled the old gasket out if groove on the door, cleaned inside the groove, squirted some windex in the groove to ease the new gasket in the groove, then proceeded to work the gasket into the groove. Made sure gasket was all the way in the groove around the perimeter of the door. Done!
