Why my refrigerator have a label saying cancer and reproductive harm

The Proposition 65 warning labels are a warning that a product contains chemicals that may cause cancer, birth defects, or reproductive harm are now required on many household items sold in California. But people all over the country might see them because many companies put the labels on all items that contain these chemicals, even if they’re going to be sold in other states. The warning labels can be found on many kinds of products, such as electrical wires, jewelry, padlocks, dishes, flashlights, and pesticides, ect. For more specialized assistance or to speak with someone about this, I would suggest calling the manufacturer of the appliance unit. We hope this helps.

Hi Lucian, thank you for reaching out. The temperature in your freezer should be maintained between 0 to 10 degrees Fahrenheit. If your freezer is set too cold, your water line may be frozen as well. If this is not the issue, we would suggest you checking the cold water tank assembly, part number PS11736997. Glad to be of help!
Compressor comes on for 10 or 15 seconds then hear a click then goes off for about 5 or 10 minutes . Does this while plugged in . Will not freeze . All fans running ok . Temp inside not cold enough in frige and will not freeze . Any thoughts . Thanks , Tony

Hello Vince, Thank you for writing. We suggest testing the Water Inlet Valve, PartSelect #: PS11767934. The Valve can be tested with a Multimeter. The multitester should display a reading between 200 and 500 ohms. We hope this helps, good luck with the repair!
I went to a GE repair center to explain my problem, the service center reccomended that I have a techinician come out o look at it. $75.00 for the visit and what ever labor and materials wuld cost.
I went on line to see if there were others having this same problem and found that there were many with the same problem.
... Read more />After reading some of the ways that people found out what was wrong ...it became a matter of three components, the timer, heater or thermostat.
I tried the most common component and the less expensive one first , the thermostat switch I installed it very easily snipping two wires and attaching the news using wire nuts I used the diagram on this website to pinpoint the component and there has not been a problem since.
I had to remove all of the shelves.....part of the ice maker.....the rear cover over the freezer coils.....There were two wires that came from the back of the freezer that were also incorporated with the fan motor plug from the factory....This caused me to cut all of the wires from the new motor and soider them to the existing plug and sh

If GE would have supplied two new ends I could have cut only those wires added the ends and inserted them into the new motor plug thus eliminating an extra hour and a soildering iron,,,,In my case not a big deal however not a project for those who have trouble with repairs using these type of tools.
