My dryer lights up when touching the power button but will not start.
For model number GFD65GSPN0SN
Hello Jeffrey, thank you for getting in touch. It seems the control lock feature on your model is active. When the control lock feature is active, it will not allow to start a cycle. To unlock the control lock, press and hold the Light pad for 3 seconds. If this does not help, then the issue is most probably with the door switch, part number PS12743319. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. Glad to be of assistance!
Will a inlet back up thermostat or a hi limit thermostat make my dryer not get power at all
For model number GFD65GSPN0SN
Hi Greg, thank you for reaching out. Based on our research, the inlet thermistor lets the main board know what the inlet temperature is, and the hi-limit thermostat shuts off the heater if it overheats. We would recommend checking the circuit breaker first. If it is fine, then you may need to replace the power cord, part number PS12743342. We hope that will resolve your problem!
Is there a front drum felt seal replacement available?
For model number GFD65GSPN0SN
Hello Steve, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, the drum felt you are looking for does not come separately. It comes with the drum, part number PS16217070. Glad to be of assistance!
Could tell from the sound it was making that it was related to drum rotation. Searched online videos on how to disassemble this model GE Dryer. The Dryer drum rides on 4 rollers. 2 of the 4 of mine were very noticeably loose and made a similar noise when I spun them by hand. Simply replace the rollers and re-assembled.
