How do I clean the vent inside the dryer do I pull the front panel off to get to the heating chamber or just blow it all out with leaf blower send link to you tube showing disassemble and cleaning thanks
For model number GFD55GSSN0WW
Hello Chris, thank you for getting in touch. You will need to remove the front panel. Disconnect the duct from the dryer. The dryer vent duct is typically a semi-rigid or flexible metal duct that connects the dryer to the outside vent. Vacuum the duct with the hose attachment and reconnect the duct. Blowing the duct is not recommended. Use a vacuum cleaner to clean the duct. You will also need to clean the lint filter. We hope this helps.

Loud banging/thumping noise when dryer was running. Bearings on tub rollers worn out. Poor design.
Could tell from the sound it was making that it was related to drum rotation. Searched online videos on how to disassemble this model GE Dryer. The Dryer drum rides on 4 rollers. 2 of the 4 of mine were very noticeably loose and made a similar noise when I spun them by hand. Simply replace the rollers and re-assembled.
