HOW TO SWAP DRYER DOOR....THE CLEAR INSIDE PART IS DRAGGING WHEN CLOSES
For model number GFD55ESSN1WW
Hi Bobby, thank you for reaching out. To replace the dryer door, follow these steps: Remove the two screws from the strike plate using a T-25 torx driver. Remove the strike plate and set it aside. While supporting the door, remove the two screws from the hinge in the dryer face using a 1/4” (6.4 mm) nut driver. Lift the door assembly to remove it from the dryer face and set it aside on a protective surface. Follow these steps in the reverse order to install the new door. We hope this information is useful!

When drum rotates during operation or just rotating by hand (w/ or w/o clothes there is a “sliding” sound as if a small coin is under one of the dryer baffles. Recommendation for clearing? Thanks
For model number GFD55ESSN1WW
Hello Gary, thank you for your inquiry. We recommend opening the dryer baffle screw located above the drum and removing the baffle from the drum to check that the coin is there or not. We hope this is helpful!

Dryer is not heating and only 1.5 years old. Is there a fuse or something that could of went out verses the heating element?
For model number GFD55ESSN1WW
Hello Tip, Thank you for reaching out. If the fuse was faulty it will cut power to the appliance. If the appliance powers on but has no heat, you may have a faulty Thermistor, Thermostat or Heater. They can be tested with a Multimeter to check continuity. We hope this helps, good luck with the repair!

Loud banging/thumping noise when dryer was running. Bearings on tub rollers worn out. Poor design.
Could tell from the sound it was making that it was related to drum rotation. Searched online videos on how to disassemble this model GE Dryer. The Dryer drum rides on 4 rollers. 2 of the 4 of mine were very noticeably loose and made a similar noise when I spun them by hand. Simply replace the rollers and re-assembled.
