Icemaker and freezer light will not work most of the time?
For model number GFD28GSLESS
Hello Calvin, Thank you for the question. We suggest checking the Wiring to the light socket and the door switches. If they work at times but not others, something could be loose. We hope this helps!

Why is the top left side vent in the fridge not blowing, causing the top shelves to be warm?
For model number GFD28GSLESS
Hello David, Thank you for your inquiry. We have researched the model number that you have provided and would recommend checking the fresh food evaporator fan, part# PS12172983. You can test it with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you. The vent itself could also be clogged, so check for any debris. We hope this helps and if you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

LED lights , inside of the refrigerator, were very bright when the refrigerator was new , now all of them are still lit when I open the refrigerator doors , but not bright enough for me to look up some food items in the the selves .
For model number GFD28GSLESS
Hi Tom, thank you for contacting us. We recommend you replace the LED Light and Cover Assembly, part number PS12172918. The problem could be with the plastic cover on the lamp, as it tends to become hard and opaque sometimes. We hope this solves your problem!

On this French door refrigerator my freezer is great. Recently though the refrigerator is at 57 degrees but my Climate Zone drawer at the bottom is freezing everything. Literally it’s 2o degrees in the Climate Zone drawer. I replaced the evaporator fan in the fridge but it’s still not cooling. Could this be a thermistor and if so, where is it located? Defrost heater? Help!
For model number GFD28GSLESS
Hi Spike, thank you for reaching out. Yes, the issue could be with the temperature sensor of the fresh food section, part number PS304103. It is located inside the rear wall behind the air tower in the fresh food section. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. The defrost heater is responsible for melting frost and ice that builds up on the evaporator coils during the defrost cycle. Before replacing it check the temperature sensor. We hope this solves your problem!

The dispenser options do not light up or operate. I can not get ice or water from the unit. I unplugged the fridge to see if that would reset it and that still didn't work. Any suggestions???
For model number GFD28GSLESS
Hi Trevor, thank you for reaching out. The issue is most probably because of the dispenser control board, part number PS17645341. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!

my refigerator was warm but the freezer was cold and working correcttly
I went to a GE repair center to explain my problem, the service center reccomended that I have a techinician come out o look at it. $75.00 for the visit and what ever labor and materials wuld cost.
I went on line to see if there were others having this same problem and found that there were many with the same problem.

I tried the most common component and the less expensive one first , the thermostat switch I installed it very easily snipping two wires and attaching the news using wire nuts I used the diagram on this website to pinpoint the component and there has not been a problem since.

I snipped the wire in the middle leaving plenty to work with. I shortened the wire on the new piece, spliced the wires together and with some 3M rubberized, tape wr
