Dishwasher will not start. The start button is flashing about every 30 seconds

Hello Bennie, Thank you for the question. The start light blinks when the door is open or the door latch is defective. If the door is closed securely, we suggest replacing the Latch, PartSelect #: PS6447681. We hope this helps!

Hi Catherine, thank you for reaching out. Ensure that the dishwasher is properly plugged into a working outlet. If this isn't the issue, try resetting the dishwasher. You can perform a soft reset by pressing and holding the "Start/Reset" pad for 5 seconds or a hard reset by turning off the power to the dishwasher at the circuit breaker or fuse box for 30 seconds, then restoring power. If the issue persists, we recommend replacing the door latch, part number PS6447681. If the door isn't closed correctly, the dishwasher won't start. We hope this solves your problem!
Hi Don, thank you for reaching out. Inspect the power cord for any damage first. If it is fine, the issue could be with the main control board, part number PS17137050. It manages the functions of the dishwasher, such as washing, draining and drying. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
Didn't actually do the compete repair but got close. Pulled out dishwasher, disconnected and checked continuity on the existing heating element (about 16 ohms) the new element was also about 16 ohms. This indicates they both were working fine and no need for replacement. Next step would have been to swap the elements would have been

Holding securely, replace screws removed in step 5. Toward the end they get a little tougher to screw in. 8. Plug wire harness into new door latch. 9. Re-align dishwasher and re-secure to counter in previous position. 10. Test latch to make sure it closes properly. 11. Turn on breaker in electrical panel.
