I called the local GE dealer for repair. The repair person arrived and told me that he could not get the part. The freezer was too old. Then he charged me $60 for coming out. ordered it. My husband and I removed the door to the freezer, pushed the part into the hole at the bottom of the door and put the door back on its hinges. It works perfectly. Thank you.

freezer kept icing up on the coils would only get down to 20 degrees.
unplug the freezer. remove the 2 screws holding the timer, unplug the electrical fitting w/4 prongs. reverse the steps and you are done.

Gasket not sealing
Per the UTube video ...
Once the gasket was on, the door would not seal.
Gasket was removed and placed in dryer again to "soften" but to no avail on the second try.
When we received the package, the box was ripped open and only the wadded up gasket in the box. Don't know if someone just shoved it in or what. I think thi ... Read more s is what caused the issue with it not sealing. Also no instructions except on your website. We ended up putting on the original gasket and sealed the cut on the gasket with tape. Freezer seals well and no leaks or issues. I still have the gas but no clue what to do with it if we can't get it to work. Is there a refund available?
