My Frigidaire gas range oven won't heat up past 135 degrees when I have set the temp to 400 degrees. I can smell a small amount of gas when it is turned on. I can see see the glow from the igniter below. I obviously turned it off when the smell was evident. Curious on what part this could be. Trying to decide if I should replace the oven or have someone repair it. Thanks in advance.

Hello Robb, Thank you for the question. We suggest testing the Temperature Sensor with a Multimeter. Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. We hope this helps!
The oven does not light. The igniter comes on and glow hot. But the gas does not comes on all of the time. Could the igniter be defective not drawing the right voltage to release the gas?

Hello Ricky, thank you for your question. Essentially, there are only a few components that may be the issue. The first is the Bake Igniter PS2364063 and the Spark Module PS11775689. Hello John, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, the issue could be caused by a faulty temperature sensor, part number PS1528542. If replacing it does not help, we would recommend replacing the bake igniter, part number PS2364063. It ignites the gas so it can heat the oven burner. I called a repair place. They charged $54 to diagnose, (said it needed a new latch motor) then wanted $220 to complete the repair. I checked online prices and did it myself for about 15 minutes work and the latch motor itself ($44?).

Turned power off at electrical panel. Pulled oven away from wall. Removed back cover (6 screws), then unplugged wires from old receptacle. I had to pull the squeeze clips backwards & break them to remove the old receptacle - couldn't squeeze them enough to remove them otherwise.
